Financial constraints  Case study: Trainspotting Make notes on the clip:  Resource film making- Making films by using the resources available to you.  Locations - Where do you have access to? Rely on friends on family if you don't have the budget to pay for actual actors. Make sure they're interested in acting.  Equipment- Can you get cameras from a friend? Props, objects, will you need to hire or buy equipment.  Writing the script- keep locations to a minimum (Because of travel distance), minimise characters. Write to your actors strengths. Avoid scenes with extras. Avoid exterior night scenes - can be very light intensive.  Avoid writing a lot of CGI and special effects in the film because they are very time consuming.  Pre-production- Location planning, verify availability of your actors and equipment. Unit 2: What is included in Pre-production?

Unit 2: What is included in Pre-production? What was the task? To explore the different preparations involved with pre- production? What were you asked to do? To create diagrams and assess the different types of pre-production processes needed for different types of media. What did you learn? I learnt that different types of media require certain tasks to happen in order to affect the production. How will it help you prepare for your exam? I can use it to revise the pre production tasks for different types of media.

Introduction: My name is Sam and I will be starting on the next unit (Unit 2): “Pre production and planning”, and will be posting the rest of the work from this unit onto this blog.
