Project management is the effective planning and running of a project, from the ideas point to the end product and evaluation. Planning requires an outline of the tasks, deadlines and milestones that will be required to manage the project efficiently. A project timeline schedule would need to be created for the creation of the media product, to include: 1. Tasks that need to be done 2. Deadlines for each task 3. Milestones within the tasks and the overall project. Gantt chart: Designed by mechanical engineer Henry Gantt in 1910, the Gantt chant has has a relatively long run as a project management tool. Computer game brief question

How would you complete market research for this brief? One method of effective market research for this brief would be to use a questionnaire. This is because they are quick to design and send out to large samples of people, and when targeting kids, you should want to gain as many of their opinions as possible. They can also be distributed using a number of different ways. Another method of market research that you could use would be to use a focus group. This when the researcher asks a group of people relevant to the research question, and the group will then discuss it and share their opinions with each other while the researcher observes. The advantage is that you are able to generate extra data from the group interaction

Re-writing test questions

1. The first cost is paying the staff to actually develop the app. The reason why it will impact the project is because they might need to hire certain people to complete certain tasks, in which they don't have the skills to complete. The second cost to consider is the software to develop it, because to make a good app, you need to have the suitable method available. This can be costly, which is why it must be considered. 2. The Data Protection Act 1998, means that when reporting stories, you can not release certain information about a person to a point in which they can be found. If somebody feels that they have been exposed to the public, then they are able to sue the newspaper firm. 3. The reason for myself being required to sign the form is so that I can provide rights to products that I create to "Align Media", during my time working for them. This way, anything that I create is officially their property in which they can claim as their own. 4. One method of ...

Video

https://youtu.be/1I0Y9ewxhJ0 Pre production: WWW: I thought that myself and Ryan organised our script well and planned out where we would film before actually doing so. I also think we decided on the right content to include in our video to make it interesting. EBI: It would have been useful for us to decide on our camera shots more accurately before filming, which is why our storyboard lacks quality. We could have been more decisive on this rather than make the last minute choices on what angles we will film. Production: WWW: We were confident in our filming and the way in which we spoke. I also think that the video was well edited, and unnecessary parts were removed in order to keep the video short enough. We also filmed in multiple locations so it gave the video some more creativity to it. EBI: We could have been more quirky and engaging in our speech rather than just saying the script to the camera as its better from an audiences point of view. We could have also revise...

Ethical issues involved with the TV show "Luck" and the film "Blue Lagoon".

Luck The show was based around horses and horse racing, something that many people are ok with while some disagree with because it is seen as animal cruelty. For this reason, there were ethical issues to deal with.  One of these issues was during the filming when a handler leading a horse back to its stall was involved in an incident in which the horse reared, fell back and hit her head. This injury is dangerous to horses because it usually results in traumatic brain injury, blindness and skull fractures. The public and PETA were not happy with this at all because of two other deaths from the previous season. Neither of these horses should have even been on the racetrack to begin with. This is because one of them was known to have a history of arthritis and was euthanised after suffering a compound leg fracture, while the other horse was on a constant diet of painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs, suffering multiple fractures of the right front leg.  The blame went str...

Game of thrones podcast

One of the most classification issue with game of thrones. Very Strong language A lot of sex Nudity Sexual reference Graphic violence. 15 rating. 13 eps (18) Episode: The red wedding. was rated  a 15 for strong bloody violence. Wasn't an 18 because it doesn't focus too much on pain and the inflict of pain. Limited wound detail Lack of dwelling on pain/inflicting. Episode: Mountain and the viper 18 rated Very Strong gory images (Eyes and head) Episode: Battle of the snows 18 rated War violence, stabbings, bodily organs, pushing organs inside. Blood. From this, I have learnt that the Game of thrones series is more for adults and people that can cope with watching strong scenes. It is clear that the creators of this TV show wanted to make something quite extreme. The BBFC have given it the ratings it has because of violence, gory images, blood etc. Episodes have 15/18 ratings to help stop people too young from being disturbed by what they see, it acts as a ...

Podcast questions.

What does the role of production designer entail? They're responsible for the overall look of a production. They start early on, with the director. Many discussions happen between the production designer and the director to do with set, location and so on.  During a production, which other members of the production and which other areas of the production does the production designer co-ordinate with? It can depend on the project. They do co-ordinate with the writer as it is sometimes hard to communicate with the director for a number of reasons EG, if he is working somewhere else on another film.  What issues with locations can occur during the production of a TV drama?  The director may not approve of some locations. For example, creating the feel of the locations that they actually plan to use. Some properties were also national trust properties, so they couldn't just close the places since they're.  open to the public. They had to work with the national...
