- How much money were they asking for? £250,000
- How much did they get £255,000. This shows that it was more successful than planned since they raised more than what their goal was.
- How many backers were there? 2712, so this many people helped raise money.
- Who is the director and why is this important? Vince. This is important because it shows how he has been very successful and been able to create a great film with his production company just by obtaining funds through donation.
- How else is the project being funded? People funding the money such as investments.
- What was the funding for? The production, essentially so they could pay for anything that they will need to film such as cameras, lighting and so on. There are many production costs to consider in order to make something good.
- Why do you think this was successful in gaining funding? They rewarded the donators, so it means that anybody who donated would receive something in return, encouraging more and more people to actually contribute.
- What has happened since it was funded? It is still being edited and will hopefully be finished soon, it can take a long time to complete these kind of productions.
- What is the purpose of the music video? To attract a different type of audience than usual. Eg a quirky type. To do something new, different, artistic and fun.
- Who is it sponsored by? Chevrolet. They are a car company and it helps them to promote their own brand.
- Why did OK GO agree to this? What is their view on music videos? Ok go want to make videos to please their virtual audience, because they understand that the videos are just as important to the audience as the songs.
- Which companies have sponsored OK GO’s work so far? Land Rover, Samsung, and State Farm insurance.
- How much sponsorship did they receive from the company? Between $500,000 and $1 million, this is a lot of money, hence why they were able to create the music video.
- What did the sponsorship buy? They paid for a couple of Sonics, including one modified by an LA movie-car shop with a variety of outward-swinging arms that are operated by pneumatic trunk cylinder, plus a mechanically deployed T-bar on the roof to jangle overhead chimes
- Where was the filming location and how many separate location set ups did the production team need to create. A remote canyon, in California. This gave an interesting looking background and wouldn't have costed them money.
- How long did the video take to film? 4 days.

ReplyDeleteQuestion 6 and 8 of the Enemy of Man tasks are not detailed enough. Question 7 of the Ok Go questions is a two part question and you have only answered one part.
